Betty Jean McCracken, 75, of Corbin, passed away Wednesday morning, Jan. 30, 2013, at her home. She was a member of the East Side Church of God. She really enjoyed the hobby of collecting antiques.
Born Oct. 7, 1937, in Lily, she was the daughter of the late Bradley and Nancy Bishop. In addition to her father and mother, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Weart S. McCracken and Pauline Ford McCracken; and siblings, Francis Vance McFerron, Hazel Blanton and Robert Bishop.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Weart S. “Mickey” McCracken; daughter, Kimberly Ruth McCracken Helton and husband Gary, of Corbin; granddaughter, Ashley Sizemore and husband Travis, of London; and great-grandson, Blaine Evan Sizemore, of London; as well as many friends, all who mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, 2013, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J. Phillip Wynn and Pastor Randall Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family of Betty McCracken will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Hart Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.
