Ronald Lee “Ron” Moreland, 65, of Coffeyville, Kan., formerly of Louisville and Corbin, died Thursday, Nov. 15, at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born Sept. 13, 1947, in Fields, Kentucky to the late Isaac Lee Moreland and Beulah Woolum Moreland of Corbin.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rhonda Embry Moreland, of Louisville. Ron was a retired plant manager for the U.S. Postal Service. He attended St. Camillus Academy and Cumberland College. He was a talented bowler and golfer and enjoyed U of L Football. He treasured his two dogs, Kasey and Princess. Ron was a Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite, and a Shriner.
He is survived by his brother, John Darryl Moreland (Sandy), of London; sister, Joyce Ann Greenbush (Ron), of Apple Valley, Minn.; son, Richard Lee Moreland (Margaret), of Richmond; daughter, Virginia Ann King (Rick), and his beloved grandchildren, Trent, Andrew and Lauren King, of Coffeyville, Kan.; niece, Melissa Jacobs and nephew John Darryl Moreland.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23rd, at Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home at 2428 Frankfort Avenue in Louisville. A graveside service will follow on Saturday, Nov. 24th, at 10 a.m. at Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Road.
