Christeen Brantley

CORBIN — Christeen Bell Tucker Brantley, age 72, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, in Indianapolis, Ind.

Born in Corbin, she was the daughter of the late James Tucker and Orpha Wilson Tucker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Amos, Luther, Joe, Thomas and Herman Tucker; and by two granddaughters.

She is survived by her children: Leslie Hatfield and wife Debra, Martha Gunn and husband Bruce, and Billy Brantley; four grandchildren: Cole, Michael, Sean and Avalyn; sisters: Eslie Sawyers and husband Dulano, of Norwood, Ohio; Maxine West and husband Herschel, of Indianapolis; and Irene Sowder, of Eubanks; brother, Oscar Tucker and wife Sheryl, of Alexandria; and by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 23, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Cook officiating. Burial will be in the Locust Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jamie Poole, Jordan Brantley, Leslie Hatfield, Dakota Sowder and Ricky Sowder.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
