Janice Vickers


Janice Carole Vickers, 68, of Corbin, passed away on Monday, Dec. 2, 2013, at Oak Tree Hospital.

Janice entered into this life on Nov. 9, 1945, in Corbin, the daughter of Albert and Alice Bundy Westbrook, both of whom preceded her in death. She was a medical assistant and enjoyed collecting dolls. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.

Janice will be lovingly remembered by her children: Jeff Vickers, of Berea, and Judy McKinney, of Corbin; 12 grandchildren: Jessica Robbins, Gary Wright, Devin Edwards, Jonathan McKinney, Beth Setser, James Setser, Jeffery Morgan, Kara Simpson, Hope Morgan, Myra Morgan, Whitney Vickers and Cody Vickers; seven great-grandchildren: Bioncka Robbins, Taylor Bowles, Brooklyn Bowles, Jordan Farris, Mason Simpson, Addison Brummett and Hayden Wright; her brother: Joe Westbrook, of Corbin; her sister: Susie Goodin, of Corbin, and a host of friends and neighbors.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by a daughter: Tanya Vickers and a sister: Claudia Westbrook.

The funeral for Mrs. Janice Vickers will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at the Corbin Funeral Home with the Rev. Herschel Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at the Corbin Funeral Home.
