Sarah Root

CORBIN —

Mrs. Sarah Bunch Root, 86, of Smyrna, and formerly of Corbin, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 12. A graveside service  was held Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at noon at the Cheatham Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.

Sarah Bunch and Don Root were  married in 1948 and lived a happy life together  for 65 years.

Mrs. Root had been a longtime resident of Cobb County and a longtime member of Hurt Road Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband Don Root of Smyrna  formally of Corbin, daughters: Sharon Brown, of Marietta, Cindy Razzouk, of Cumming, sister:  Ruby Lutterman, of Evansville, Ind., grandchildren: Jennifer Perry, Elaine Schreiber, Derek Brown, Andrea Turner,  great- grandchildren: Cooper Turner, Abigail Perry, Quinn Brown, and Lucas Schreiber.

In lieu of flowers those who wish may make  contribution to the American Heart Association, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas TX 75231.
