Brian Smith, of Townfork Road, Williamsburg, and formerly of Siler departed this life on Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He was 81 years, 5 months, and 18 days of age. He was born May 7, 1932, in Clay County to the late Simon Smith and Ida Smith. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Reynolds Smith. He had retired from the Teco Coal Company.
He is survived by two sons, Terry Smith, of Williamsburg, and Gary Smith and wife, Catherine, of Portland, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Brian Thomas Smith and wife, Jennifer, of Portland, Tenn., and Daniel Wayne Smith, of Portland, Tenn.; one great-granddaughter, Sadie Pamela Smith; one brother, Queen Smith, of Burkesville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at the Croley Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Arnold Petrey and the Rev. George Peace officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Peace Cemetery at Siler.
