CORBIN — Gary Ray Parks, of St. Augustine, Fla., formerly of Williamsburg, departed this life on Friday, May 17, 2013 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He was 58 years, 7 months, and 26 days of age. He was born on Sept. 21, 1954 in Whitley County.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Morland Parks at the age of 38; his brother, Rodney Wayne Parks; his grandparents, Mrs. Lola Pearl Bradford and James W. Bradford; his grandmother, Molly Parks; and first cousin, Doris Jean Miller.

He is survived by his mother, Mildred Bradford Parks, of Frankfort, an employee of 53 years for the State of Kentucky; several aunts, uncles, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Visitations will be after 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2013 and Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Billy Mitchell officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Parks Cemetery in Rockholds.
