Carolyn Johnson, 87, of Eubank, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. She was born Jan. 4, 1926, in Monroe, La. to the late Francis and Cordelia Barton.
Carolyn worked as a quality control for American Greeting. She enjoyed working in her yard, reading, quilting, crocheting, hunting and fishing. She was a member of Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Norma Gross, of Eubank; grandchildren, Joe Gross, Dewey Gross, Shelia Frye, Anthony Gartner and Bryan Gartner; and great-grandchild, Amber Gross. She is also survived by her sisters, Marolyn Pemberton and Betty Dawson, both of W. Monroe, La., and Gloria Burchett, of Tacoma, Wash.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Joe E. Johnson; parents; daughter, Joellyn Gartner; and brothers, Greg Barton and Norman Barton.
