Joyce Lovett


Joyce Lovett, age 83, of Knoxville, Tenn., passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at the Tennova Residential Hospice. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Lovett. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Fountain City, Tenn.

She is survived by her children, Kathy and Larry Brothers, Gary and Teresa Lovett, and Lori and Darrel Compton; grandchildren, Kristen and David Jenkins, Kari and Jonathan Smeltzer, Brian and Heather Lovett, Katie and Brent Anderson, and Bailee Compton, and Rylie Compton; great-grandchildren, Madelyn Jenkins, Jayda Lovett and Caroline Smeltzer; sisters, Kathryn and Ed Bailey; brothers, Rodney and Joyce Curd, Floyd and June Curd, J.B. and Barbara Curd, and Jimmy and Shirley Curd; brother-in-law, Charles and Sarah Lovett; and several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Visitation was from 5 p.m. until the funeral hour on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at the Mynatt Funeral Home Chapel in Fountain City, Tenn.

The funeral service was held at 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 28, 2013, at the Mynatt Funeral Home Chapel in Fountain City, Tenn. Chapel where the Rev. Ron Mouser officiated.

Following an 11 a.m. graveside service on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, she was laid to rest in the Greenwood Cemetery.
