Curtis Ray Moore, age 79, of Keavy, passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at his home.
He was born in Cawood, Jan. 23, 1934, to the late Thomas and Lily Dash Moore.
He was a small engine repairman, and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Young, and six brothers, Joe, James, Thomas, Jessie, Cliford and Wallie Moore.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Peace Moore, of Keavy; his stepchildren, Janet McDaniel, of Corbin, Pat Valentine and husband Rick, of Iowa, Sandra Hurd, of Keavy, and friend Russell Kester, Michael Hurd and wife Martha, of London, and David Hurd and wife Harett, of Keavy; six sisters, Sarah Hall, of Blackmount, Lee Terlinda, of Gray, Shirley Hash, of London, Dorthy Blanton, of Corbin, Ellen Wells, of Corbin, Melissa Weiner and husband Rick, of Union; two brothers, Denver Moore and wife Irene, of London, and Bill Moore, of California; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Jan, 28, 2013, at the O’Neil-Lawson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Thurston Hensley officiating with burial following in Monhollen Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the O’Neil-Lawson Funeral Home. www.oneilfh.com
