Jeanette Taylor


Jeanette Louise Parker Taylor, age 67, of Corbin, passed away Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington.

She was born in Gray Feb. 12, 1945, to the late Virgil and Cecil Johnson Parker. She was a cook at Cumberland College for 33 years and was a member of the Eagles club in Lafollette, Tenn., and a member of West Corbin Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by Robert Taylor; grandchildren, Mikey Taylor, Nathan Allan Taylor Leach, Nathan Scott Taylor and Peyton Taylor; three brothers, Charles, Roland and Dewaune Parker; and two sisters, Vernie Parker and Dexter Perry.

She is survived by four children, Robby Taylor and Donna Jackson, of Woodbine, Brian Taylor and wife Melissa, of Corbin, Denise Wren and husband Russell, of  Gray, and Richard Taylor and Kristy Bowman, of Corbin; grandchildren, Cody Taylor, Brittany Powell and (Bo Garland), Erik Partin, Lashesta Taylor, Dylan Taylor, Ashley Taylor, and (Gene Hopkins), Ryan Taylor, Emma Woods, Kristie Rose, Rachel Mills and  husband Joe and Gina and Carla Jackson; great-grandchildren, Chase Mills and Riley Taylor; two brothers, Damon Parker and wife Diane, of  Corbin, and Claude Parker and wife Brenda, of  Middlesboro; one sister, Nellie Giles, of Bowling Green; special friends, Rosie Hicks, of Tennessee, and Lige Gray, of Gray; special dog, Brody; several nieces and nephews and friends; and a special thanks to Allen Medlin, of Gray.

Funeral services will be noon Monday Jan. 21, 2013, at the O’Neil-Lawson Funeral Home Chapel with Burial at Farris Cemetery at Gray.

Visitation will be Sunday from 6-9 p.m. at the O’Neil-Lawson Funeral Home Chapel.
