Jerry Wayne Powers, of Johnson Ave., Williamsburg, departed this life on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2013, in Williamsburg. He was 61 years, 1 month and 21 days of age. He was born on Nov. 12, 1951, in Pineville, to the late Jack Powers and Ruby (Large) Powers.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Bunch Powers, of Williamsburg; three daughters, Amy Powers, of London, Carrie Powers, of Williamsburg, and Missy Powers Day (Alec), of Wilmore; grandchildren, Jackson Osborne and Kailey Powers, both of Williamsburg, and Patrick Williamson, of London; three sisters, Patsy Romans, of Vevay, Ind., Lib Hill and Joan Wilson, both of Williamsburg; four brothers, Jack Powers Jr., of Detroit, Mich., Edward Powers (Kathy), Vernon Powers (Nellie) and Ray Powers, all of Williamsburg; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Bunch officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Croley Addition of Highland Park Cemetery in Williamsburg.
