Edith Meadors

CORBIN — Edith Meadors, of King Mountain Spur, Williamsburg, departed this life on Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Baptist Health Lexington. She was 85 years, 1 month, and 24 days of age. She was born on March 7, 1929 in Pike County, to the late James Floyd Mitchell and Mary Francis Coleman Mitchell. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Lloyd Meadors. She was a member of Shiner Church of Christ.

She is survived by her two children, Darrell Meadors and his wife Brenda, of Williamsburg, and Shirley Meadors Thomas and her husband Ken, of Harrodsburg; four grandchildren, Greg Meadors and his wife Amber, of Williamsburg, Deanna Meadors, of Williamsburg, Amy Thomas Miller and her husband Robert Leo, of Harlan, and Julie Thomas and her fiancé Tyler Brown, of Lexington; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be from noon until the funeral hour on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Croley Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Anderson officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Whitley Memorial Gardens in Williamsburg.
