Ralph Darnell

CORBIN — Ralph Daniel Darnell, age 65, of Corbin, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2013, at Baptist Health Corbin.

Born in Saltville, Va., he was the son of the late Helen Hackett Darnell and Eugene Darnell who survives.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Mae Etta Darnell; son, Steven Darnell; six grandchildren, Cody Darnell, Nicholas Aungst, Paige Aungst, Steven E. Darnell, Kayleigh Ann Darnell and Triston Dakota Darnell; three brothers, William T. Darnell, Ronald D. Darnell and Donald W. Darnell; several nieces and nephews including special niece Angie Burton; and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home in Corbin.

The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 21st, at the Newcomer Funeral Home in Dayton, Ohio with the Rev. Tim Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Dayton.

There will be a visitation from 11:30 a.m. Friday until the funeral hour at Newcomer’s.
