Arber Owens

CORBIN — Arber Coyt Owens, of Richmond, formerly of Williamsburg, departed this life on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at the VA Medical Center in Lexington. He was 87 years, 4 months, and 25 days of age. He was born on Feb. 8, 1926, in Whitley County, to the late Dant Owens and Judy Smith Owens. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Evodine Mayne Owens, and a grandson, Bradley Coyt Owens. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

He is survived by his two sons, Billy Owens and his wife Deborah, of Lakewood, Colo., and Wayne Edward Owens, of Richmond; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Monhollen, of Franklin, Ohio, and Ida Wall and Rosa Owens, both of Berea; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the funeral hour on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2013 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Billy Owens officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Mayne Cemetery on Poplar Creek in Williamsburg.
