Tommie Jones

CORBIN — Tommie A. Jones, age 69, of Williamsburg, passed away Tuesday Dec. 10, 2013, at his home. He was born Nov. 26, 1944, at Bon Jellico to the late Everett Jones and the late Laura Brown Jones.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Selma Ruth Lovett and Nannie Mae McVay, and one son-in-law, the Rev. Larry Casper.

He is survived by his wife, Bertha Jones, of Williamsburg; one daughter, Ruth Ann Casper, of Richmond; two sons, David A. Jones and Bert A. Jones; two foster sons, Fred Eugene Hughes III and Joe McKiddy, all of Williamsburg; five grandchildren, Laura Casper, Tiffany Casper, Shania Day, Tommie Andrew Jones and Sierra Caddell; one great-grandchild, Larra Casper; one brother, Everett Jones Jr., of Williamsburg; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at the Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Leslie Broughton and the Rev. David Lamb officiating. Following the service he will be laid to rest in the Alsile Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, at the funeral home.
