LaQuada Turner

CORBIN — Ms. LaQuada Sharp Turner, of Hendersonville, N.C., departed this life on Thursday, June 20, 2013, at her home in Flat Rock, N.C. She was 54 years old.

She was born on Oct. 17, 1958, in Whitley County to the late Russell Ray Sharp and Elizabeth Sharp and the granddaughter of Mamaw Fox. She was a member of Upward Christian Fellowship Church. She was a 1976 graduate of Whitley County High School and a 1983 graduate of Cumberland College.  Her favorite sport was softball.  

She is survived by her daughters, Ashley Turner, of Huntsville, Ala., and Savannah Turner, of Hendersonville, N.C.; along with two grandsons; one granddaughter; two stepchildren, David Turner, of Raleigh, and Melanie Turner, of Lexington;  five sisters and one brother: Novera Decker, Carla Monhollen, Elana Richards, Mandy Harris, Nicole Sharp and Danny Ray Sharp; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.   

Her final resting place will be at the McFarland Cemetary in Corbin.
