Sillus Sharp

CORBIN —

Mr. Sillus J. Sharp, age 69, of London, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013 at his home.

Sillus entered into this life on Feb. 15, 1944, in Knox County, the son of Ernest Taylor and Amanda Jane Vaughn Sharp, both of whom preceded him in death. He was united in marriage to Allie Smith and they shared a wonderful life together. Sillus was a member of the New Hope United Baptist Church and will be remembered for his love of horses and beagles.

Sillus will be lovingly remembered by his wife: Allie Sharp, of London; his daughter: Teresa Sharp, of Corbin; his stepdaughter: April Sizemore, of London; two grandchildren: Brianna Sizemore and Jassmine Gegory; one brother: E.J. Sharp (Theresa), of Keavy; and a host of friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers: Russell Ray Sharp, James Dexter Sharp and Darrell Dean Sharp; and three sisters: Mattie Marie Manhole, Joyce Partin and Betty Sharp.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Corbin Funeral Home with interment following in the Floyd Cemetery.

Friends may call on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 6-9 p.m. at the Corbin Funeral Home.
