Larry Helton

CORBIN — Larry T. Helton, age 29, of Corbin, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was Baptist by faith and enjoyed racing #27 at the Corbin Speedway.

Larry was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Mary Storms, and Merrill Helton and Josie Helton; uncles, Daniel Dawson Helton and Jimmy Storms; and by an aunt, Thelma Vanover.

He is survived by his parents, Darrell Helton and Ima Lee Storms Helton, of Corbin; special grandmother, Mary Helton, of Keavy; brother and sisters, Charles R. Gray and wife Deborah, of Corbin, Sheila Jenkins and husband Charles, of Concord, Ark., Barbara Morrison, of Corbin, and Tammy Sparks and husband Jeffrey, of Shelbyville; special nephew, Spc. Joseph D. Walters; special niece, Sierra Jenkins; as well as, numerous aunts, uncles, relatives, and a host of friends.

The family would like to thank Tri-County Hospice, St. Joseph Hospital, Premier Famiy Health - doctors and staff for their kindness and loving care they offered to Larry during his illness.

Funeral services for Larry Helton will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery in Keavy.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 29, from 6-9 p.m. at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home where messages may be written to the family at http://www.vankirkgrisellfuneralhome.com/
