Frances Jackson

CORBIN — Frances Skinner Jackson, age 85, of Corbin, passed away on Saturday July 13, 2013 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington.

She was preceded in death by her parents, A.T. Skinner and Lillian Moore Skinner; sisters, Irene Skinner, Ima Sturgill, and Ruth Clifford; brothers, Claude and Clyde Skinner.

Frances is survived by her two children; Sherry Waller and husband Paul, of Louisville, and Charles “Chuck” D. Jackson and wife Betty, of Macon, Ga.; her former husband, Charles H. Jackson; grandchildren Tammy Thomas and husband Lloyd, Amy Hall and husband Matt, Kim Matthews and husband Rod; seven grandchildren; sister, Georgia “Bunny” Jones, of Lily; brothers, Jim Skinner and wife Jimmy, of Corbin, and George Skinner, of Louisville; several nieces, nephews, family and friends including Peggy and Bo Eubanks, Pat and Arlin Prewitt, and Judy Clifford.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to the staff at the Corbin Nursing Home for the love and care given to Frances while she was a resident.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 17, 2013, from noon until the time of her funeral service at 2 p.m. at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home in Corbin.

Burial will be in the Corinth Cemetery in Corbin.
