Stella Curnutt

CORBIN — Stella Mae Curnutt, of Cumberland Falls Highway, Corbin, departed this life on Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at Baptist Health Corbin. She was 86 years, 11 months and 2 days of age. She was born on Dec. 16, 1926, in Whitley County, to the late Frank and Myrtle Bennett.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, William Ed Curnutt; three sons, Bill Curnutt, Jerry Curnutt and Jimmy Curnutt; and a grandson, Britt Curnutt.

She was a member of Jacksfork Church of God.

She is survived by her five daughters, Janice Dexter and her husband Larry, of Corbin, Linda Bethel, of Greenville, Ellen Prewitt and her husband Kenny, of Williamsburg, Judy Garza and her husband Javier, of Nicholasville, and Sandy Smith and her husband Jerry, of Rockholds; three sons, Dennis Curnutt and his wife Anita, of Williamsburg, Claude Curnutt and Eddie Curnutt, both of Madisonville, Tenn.; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one sister, Zella Crabtree, of Rockholds; one brother, Clandis Bennett, of Harlan County; one half brother, Harold Bennett, of Harlan County; a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom Matney officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Curnutt Cemetery on Bear Hollow in Rockholds.
