Mary Cleo Lloyd, 86, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013.
She was born in Corbin on Dec. 7, 1926, to the late Steve and Sarah Cobb and was the widow of Arlie J. Lloyd.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: C.L. Witt and J. B. Cobb; five sisters: Iva Tompkins, Edith Tompkins, Zella Bingham, Vera Lois Tompkins and Violet Selvy. She is survived by several special nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Lloyd had worked for Bell South and was a former bookkeeper for First National Bank.
She was well known as the owner/operator of the Sonna Lou Beauty Shop and Young World Children’s Shoppe in Corbin and Lafayette, Tenn.
She was a lifelong member of West Corbin Baptist Church where she was active in choir, WMU and served as an organist/pianist for many years.
Visitation will be Saturday, Feb. 23, at 11 a.m. at the Hart Funeral Home Chapel, Corbin.
Services will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with the Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton and Steve Bingham officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Keith Nance, Brandon Nance, Brad Hoskins and nephews: Steve Bingham, Ken Cobb, Jimmy Cobb, Jerry Tompkins and Paul Tompkins.
Honorary pallbearers will be Juanita Ramsey, Christine Hart, Ronita Dunn, Pat Parkey, Vita McVay, Gerri Lawson, Billy Adkins and Geneva Mooney.
The family requests that condolences be sent in the form of contributions to West Corbin Baptist Church.
