Norma Pennington

CORBIN —

Mrs. Norma Martin Pennington, 84, of Corbin, passed away on Easter morning, March 31, 2013. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charles Pennington; her sons, David Pennington (Pam) and Tim Pennington (Sarah), and her daughter, Louann Pennington Lennon (David); and her brother, Henry M. (“Buddy”) Martin (June). She is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grand children, and many nieces and nephews.

She was born on Oct. 5, 1928, to the late Henry and Lou Bingham Martin. She was graduated from Corbin High School and the Coldiron Business College, and went on to become the secretary and treasurer of Pennington Block Company, Inc. A member of Immanuel Baptist Church, she was beloved by her husband, children, family and friends.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, at the Hart Funeral Home; funeral services will be held at Hart Funeral Home at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, with Pastor Allen Bonnell and the Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Burial will follow at Ryan Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Charles David Samuel Pennington, Timothy Seth Bryant Pennington, Chad Lennon, Andrew Ethan Pennington, Trae Pennington, Tyler Pennington, Brandon Pennington and Christopher Pennington.
