Edna Ethel Fox, age 92, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at Baptist Health Corbin.
Born in Knox County, she was the daughter of the late Isaac Thomas Lockard and Susan Elizabeth Gregory Lockard. She was a homemaker and a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Corbin.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Juneus Fox; sons, Larry and Terry Fox; four sisters: Sylvia Sturgill, Earlene Phipps, Gertrude Moses and Willie Bea Bourdrant; grandchildren: Jamie Fox, Mark Fox and Jennifer Roberts; and great-grandson, Gage Fox.
She is survived by three children: Jerry Fox and wife Diana, Janice Prewitt and husband Phillip, and Garry Fox and wife Genevieve; grandchildren: Susan, Clay, Mike, Richard, Sherry, Steven, Phillip, Tim, Melinda, Kristi, Erika and Brittney; great-grandchildren: Megan, Madison, Marley, Dylan, Emily, Bryce, Shawn, Mary Beth, Brian, Braden, Micah, Kyle, Aiden, Hayes, Cais, Carson, Maci, Colt, Jaxon, Toby, Andrew and Josh; two cousins: Joyce Baxter and Martha Ratliff; and several nieces and nephews, all who mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 2, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Mitchell and the Rev. Johnny Rogers officiating. Burial will be in the Rest Haven Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Adam Townsley, Richard Fox, Steve Prewitt, Tim Prewitt, Mike Moses and Phillip Prewitt Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be the 1980 and 1982 Redhound Football Teams, as well as grandsons and great-grandsons.
