Brenda Gentry

CORBIN — Brenda Sue Simpson Gentry, age 48, of Corbin, passed away Monday morning, Oct. 14, 2013, at Baptist Health Corbin.

A kitchen manager in the Corbin School System for many years, she was of the Baptist Faith.

She was preceded in death by her father, Woodson Simpson, a brother, Woody Simpson, and a sister, Alma Jean Liford.

Survivors include her husband, Darrell Gentry; daughter, Ashley Gentry; son, Derrick Felts; mother, Edna Simpson Gross; and siblings: Linda Nevels, Shelia Dizney and husband Curt, Ellen Simpson, Hobert Simpson, Lottie McGeorge, Mary Lou Watts, and Rose Simpson. She leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, other family members and friends, all to mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Kevin Gibbs, Keith Rogers, Curt Dizney, Jason Jones, Seth Gibbs and Michael Browne.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2013, at the Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master St., Corbin. Online condolences may be made at
