Raleigh “Ronnie” Wilson, of Browns Creek Road, Williamsburg, departed this life on Saturday Sept. 14, 2013, at Baptist Health Corbin. He was 72 years, 8 months and 2 days of age. He was born on Jan. 12, 1941, in Whitley County, to the late Willie Wilson and Elizabeth Peace Wilson.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Arizona Wilson, Beulah Williamson and Oreda Jones; and two brothers, J.C. Wilson and R.C. Wilson. He attended Calvary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Rains Wilson, of Williamsburg; one daughter, Penny C. Ferguson (Matthew), of London; two sons, Danny Wilson (Shawnda) and Shannon Wilson (Mary), of Williamsburg; four grandchildren, Rebecca McKinney (Rev. Matthew), Hannah Wilson, Elizabeth Wilson and Connor Wilson; one great-grandson, Levi James McKinney; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Fred Powers and Rev. Lee Mahan officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Whitley Memorial Gardens, Williamsburg.

Virgil Wayne Root, 64, died Friday, Sept. 13, 2013.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home chapel.
