Jerome (Jerry) Perkins Richmond Sr. passed away Jan. 29, 2013, at the age of 90.
He was the son of Jessie and Dr. O.L. Richmond, of Corbin, where he was born. He attended Saint Camillus Academy and Eastern College in Richmond. He was an accomplished musician of piano and violin. He began his career in Oak Ridge, Tenn. in 1943-1948, and moved to Memphis, Tenn. where he served as chief accountant and office manager for Borg Warner Corp. for 20 years and was subsequently employed by Plough, Inc. for 18 years before retiring in Nashville.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Edith Huddleston Richmond; a son, Jerry Jr. and his wife, Sheila; a daughter, Donna and husband, Scott Williams; son, Mark and wife Melissa; and seven grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held at O’Neil-Lawson Funeral Home in Corbin on Saturday, the 2nd of February 2013 at two o’clock in the afternoon with a time of visitation with the family held one hour prior.
