CORBIN — Mary Carr, of Master Street, Corbin, departed this life on Friday, March 21, 2014, at Baptist Health Corbin. She was 93 years, 10 months, and 11 days of age. She was born on May 10, 1920, to the late James C. Meadors and Clerinda Lawson Meadors. She was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Steely and his wife Carol and Gary Steely and his wife Rhonda, all of Corbin; stepchildren, Harold Carr and his wife Bobbie Jean, of Rockholds, Doyle Carr of Corbin, Charles E. Carr, of Corbin, Donnie Carr, of Rockholds, Carol Jean Sears and her husband Eddie, of Rockholds, and Faye Logan and her husband Rev. Jimmy, of Rockholds; six grandchildren; 32 step-grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; many great-step-grandchildren and great-great step-grandchildren; two sisters, Beulah Sharp and Lula Leigh, both of Corbin; two sisters-in-law, Mabel Meadows, of Corbin, and Rae Meadors, of Williamsburg; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2014, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2014, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary Steely Jr. and Rev. Jimmy Logan officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Whitley Memorial Gardens in Williamsburg.
