Mrs. Opal Riley, age 92, of Hamilton, Ohio, and formerly of Corbin, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2013, at the Birchwood Care Center in Hamilton.
Opal entered into this life on May 1, 1920, in Rockholds, the daughter of Hiram and Mary Evelyn Grubb Bennett, both of whom preceded her in death. She was united in marriage to Mr. Albert Riley and they shared a wonderful life together. She was a nurse aid at Mercy Hospital in Hamilton, Ohio, and was of the Baptist faith.
Opal will be lovingly remembered by her son, Gerald Thomas, of Hamilton, Ohio; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Albert Riley; a son, Robert Thomas; a daughter, Patricia Johnson, and a sister.
A graveside service for Mrs. Opal Riley will be conducted on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at noon at the McFarland Cemetery in Woodbine with Deacon Jack Raymond officiating. Friends may call Wednesday from 11 a.m. until noon at the Corbin Funeral Home.
