Junior Hill

CORBIN —

Junior G. “King B” Hill, of the Flat Creek Community, Rockholds, departed this life on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at his home. He was 66 years, 6 months, and 22 days of age. He was born on April 21, 1946, in Knox County, to the late Cager Hill and Mae Warfield Hill. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Cilis Hill; a sister, Georgia Hill; and his father and mother-in-law, Cecil and Kathleen Mackey. He was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Venda Mackey Hill, of Rockholds; two children, Tiffany Bennett (Randy), of Rockholds, and Oakie Hill (Lora), of Barbourville; four grandchildren, Terrance Gray, Cole Bennett, Kolby Hill and Macee Bennett; two sisters, Fannie Carter and Betty Rapier, both of Knox County; two brothers, Ernest Hill (Lelia), of Keavy, and John Hill (Helen), of the Jacksfork Community, Williamsburg; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at the Flat Creek Baptist Church.

Mr. Hill will lie-in-state from 4 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, until the funeral hour at the Flat Creek Baptist Church.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at the Flat Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Bart Smith and Rev. Terry Broughton officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Mackey Cemetery on Flat Creek.
