Theodore Moses

CORBIN — Theodore Earl Moses, of Florence, and formerly of Williamsburg, departed this life on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at the Hospice Center in Edgewood. He was 87 years, 1 month and 29 days of age. He was born on Nov. 10, 1926, in Whitley County, to the late Leslie Moses and Orpha Moses. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Elmer Moses and Arvil Moses and his wife, Ruth; a brother-in-law, Cecil Moses. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II. He attended New Hope Tabernacle Church of God in Florence, Kentucky.

He is survived by his loving wife, Eula Moses, of Florence; three children, Patsy McFarland (Glenn), of Batavia, Ohio, Theodore “Ted” Moses Jr. (Donna), of Hooven, Ohio, and Leslie “Les” Moses (Terri), of Independence; five grandchildren, Julie Renee Schneider (Brett), Theodore Robert Moses, Crissy Ann Moses (Scot), Jennifer Lynn Moses and Jacob Thomas Moses; two great-grandchildren, Karmin Marie Moses and Alexis Renee Schneider; one brother, Granville Moses (Glenna), of Jellico, Tenn.; one sister, Ethel Moses, of Williamsburg; one sister-in-law, Hattie Moses, of Dayton, Ohio; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, at Croley Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Long officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Whitley Memorial Gardens in Williamsburg.
