Gladys Leach

CORBIN — Gladys Peace Leach, of Highway 1804, Williamsburg, departed this life on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at her home. She was 95 years, 11 months and 6 days of age. She was born on Jan. 25, 1918, in Whitley County, to the late John L. Peace and Susie Matlock Peace.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Leach Sr.; two sons, Bobby Ray Leach and Roy L. Leach Jr.; a grandson, Estel Dewayne Leach; and a granddaughter, Angel Bennett. She was a member of Clearfork Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Florence Sue Lawson, of Jacksboro, Tenn.; six sons, the Rev. Jerome Leach and his wife Bernice, of Lafollette, Tenn., Raymond Leach, of Williamsburg, Gary Wayne Leach and his wife Sandra, of Williamsburg, James Alvin Leach and his wife Ruth, of Williamsburg, Toni Robert Leach, of Crestline, Ohio, and Eddie Joe Leach and his wife Freda, of Williamsburg; 28 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Willie Partin, the Rev. Billy Carpenter and the Rev. Jerome Leach officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Clearfork Cemetery in Williamsburg.
