Jerry Floyd

Jerry Neal Floyd, 56 years, 1 month and 14 days old, of Cripple Creek Road, Rockholds, passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at Saint Joseph-London hospital. He was born Aug. 23, 1956, to Sylvester Floyd and Novella Sutton Floyd.

Jerry was saved at an early age and was a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church. He was a member of Williamsburg Masonic Lodge No. 490 F&AM.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Sylvester “Red” Floyd, and his grandparents, Jim and Josie Sutton and Ed and Lula Floyd.

He is survived by his mother, Novella Sutton Floyd, of Rockholds; sister, Betty McKinney (Bill), of Corbin; five brothers, James Floyd (Sandy), of Dunlap, Tenn., Jackie Floyd (Sarita), of Corbin, Joseph Floyd (Bonnie), of Rockholds, David Floyd (Rhonda), of Corbin, and William Floyd (Shelly), of Huntsville, Tenn; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends who mourn his passing.

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at 7 p.m. at Ellison Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. James Hodge and Bro. Vernon Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Craigs Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012.

Masonic services by Williamsburg Masonic Lodge No. 490 F&AM will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at Ellison Funeral Home Chapel.

Ellison Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
