Larry David “Deacon” Champlin, age 52, of Corbin, passed away Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, in Pioneer, Tenn. He was retired Air Force and of the Baptist Faith.
He was preceded in death by his father Orval Champlin.
He is survived by his mother Margie and father Luther Adkins, of Corbin; three children, April and Daniel Champlin, of Arkansas, and Taylor Elliot, of Elk Valley, Tenn.; four sisters; Jenny Bingham and husband Gary, of Corbin, Kim Hopkins and husband Ed, of Corbin, Karen Owens and husband Jim, of Keavy, and Cynthia Champlin, of Jackson County; five brothers, Willie Champlin and wife Anita, of Corbin, Eddie Champlin, of Corbin, Gary Champlin and wife Theresa, of Keavy, Brian Champlin and wife Brenda, of Pike Road, Ala., and Steve Champlin, of Corbin; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at 8 pm at the O’Neil-Lawson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Stuart McClure officiating, Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 7, 2014 at the Corn Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 6, from 6-8 p.m. at the O’Neil-Lawson Funeral Home.
