Maxwell Mobley, age 84, WWII Veteran, Corbin High School Hall of Fame inductee passed away Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, at the VA Hospital in Lexington, Ky.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, JoAnn Cadle Mobley of Corbin; two sons, Jim Mobley and wife Linda Cummins of Lexington, Ky., Ken Mobley, Tammy, and Latosha of Corbin; four brothers, Rex Mobley and wife Sharron of Williamsburg, Ky., Esley Mobley of Melbourne, Fla., Robert Edward Mobley of Sugar Hill, Ga. and Dual Mobley of Orlando, Fla.; five grandchildren, Brittany Kanavy and husband Jim of Georgetown, Ky., Rachel Cima and husband Marcus of Corbin, Crystal Mobley of Corbin, Wendy Root of Corbin, and Schann Mobley of Corbin; nine great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Betty Cadle of Burlington, Ky.; one brother-in-law, Rodney Cadle and wife Juanita of Fairfield, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at the O’Neil Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Jim Hunter and Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating.
Pallbearers will be Rex Mobley, Mark Mobley, Steve Wright, Jeff Parkey, Ozene McKeehan, Doug Bevins and Rodney Cadle Jr.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
