Jean Prewitt

CORBIN — Jean Prewitt, of Greystone Farm Drive, Corbin, departed this life on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. She was 63 years, 1 month and 19 days of age. She was born on Oct. 15, 1949, in Whitley County, to the late Lewis “Luke” Siler and Mary Maxine Douglas Siler. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Troy Prewitt, of Corbin; one son, Zachary Alan Prewitt (Heather Nicole), of Union; two sisters, Linda C. Anderson (Ken), of Williamsburg, and Shirley Essex (Bill), of New Concord, Ohio; one brother, Dr. Jeff Siler (Sherri), of Aiken, S.C.; nieces and nephews, Angie Anderson Chapell, Brett Essex, Theresa Essex, Jason Siler, Jody Siler and Kyleigh Siler; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at the Central Baptist Church in Corbin, Kentucky.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at Central Baptist Church with Tom Dowling, Dr. Don Mathis and the Rev. Chad Fugitt officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Piney Grove Cemetery. John Cody, Jacob Carr, Floyd Curd, Kenneth Harp, Walter Pennington and Robert White will serve as pallbearers.
