Henry Sizemore Sr.

CORBIN — Henry Sizemore Sr.

Rev. Henry “Dock” Sizemore Sr., 85, of Corbin, passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at Baptist Regional Medical Center. Born March 17, 1927, in Bell County, he was the son of the late Noah and Sarah Sizemore.

He married Sophia Sizemore on Nov. 5, 1945. She passed away on Jan. 5, 1999.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers; seven sisters; grandson, Buck White; son, E.G. Sizemore; son, Coy Sizemore; great-granddaughter, Chelsia Asher; and granddaughter, Sophia Ann Sizemore.

Survivors include his son, Clayton Sizemore and wife Sue; his son, Henry Sizemore Jr. and wife Debbie; his daughter, Patsy Owens and husband Ed; his daughter, Ruth Phillips; 24 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Patsy Sizemore; as well as other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Thurston Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in the Sizemore Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Foister, David Sizemore, David Sizemore Jr., Charles Sizemore, Mike Sizemore, Claude Chumley and Jeff Chumley.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.
