Brenda Saylor

CORBIN — Mrs. Brenda Setser Saylor, age 65, of Blackshear, Ga., died Monday afternoon, July 22, 2013, at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Saylor was born in London, on March 25, 1948, to the late Arlan and Mattie Blankenship Setser. She lived in Tampa, Fla. for 20 years before moving to Blackshear in 1986. She was a faithful wife and mother and attended Liberty Lighthouse in Screven, Ga.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Merle Setser, and a brother, Glynn Setser.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years: Ronnie Saylor, of Blackshear; two sons: Steven Saylor (wife Stacie), of Hamilton, Ga., and Shane Saylor, of Blackshear; nine grandchildren: Blake and Dylan Saylor, of Hamilton, Ga., Brooke Saylor, of Manchester, Ga., Brittany Saylor and Holly Pittman, both of Waycross, Christine, Hunter, and Cheyenne Saylor, all of Pine Mountain, Ga.; three great-grandchildren: Connor Godwin, of Manchester, Ga., Haylee Saylor, of Phenix City, Ala., and Seslee Saylor, of Pennsylvania; three sisters: Edith Carroll (husband Elmo), of London, and Rose Setser and Norma Jean Duncan (husband Huey), both of Corbin; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A funeral service will take place Wednesday afternoon at 1 p.m. at Word of Life Worship Church of God of Prophecy in Blackshear, Ga. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at the church beginning at 11:30 a.m.

A graveside service will take place Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. at Dunn Cemetery in London.
