Larry Evans

CORBIN — Larry Paul Evans, 68 of Corbin, formerly of Barbourville, was born in Knox County, on May 16, 1945, to the late Walter and Cindy Carroll Evans and departed this life on Friday, July 12, 2013, in the Baptist Health Care of Corbin Hospital. He was of the Protestant faith and enjoyed hanging out at Spur Oil and visiting with people.

In addition to his parents, three brothers, Claude Evans, Ernie Evans, and Kenneth Evans, preceded him in death.

He was survived by six brothers: Gary Evans and Pete Evans, both of Barbourville, Richard Evans of Rockdale, Texas, Rick Evans and wife Jessica, of Corbin, Tony Evans of Mason, Mich., and Edward Brady Evans and wife Mary Lou, of Holt, Mich.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services for Mr. Larry Evans will be conducted on Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at 1 p.m. in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Reed Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in the Goodin Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.  Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Friends may call at the Barbourville Funeral Home today (Monday) from 6-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1.
