CORBIN — Annie Lawson, of Low Gap Road, Siler, departed this life on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at the Pineville Community Hospital in Pineville. She was 73 years, 9 months, and 6 days of age. She was born on Sept. 16, 1939, in Whitley County, to the late Luster Lee and Myrtle Bennett Lee.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Lawson. She was a member of Big Poplar Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Tommy Lawson, of Siler; two granddaughters, Stephanie Lawson, of Corbin, and Jackie Lawson, of Rockholds; two great-grandsons, Lucas Moses, of Corbin, and Gunner Faulkner, of Rockholds; one sister, Eudine Siler (Marshall), of Toledo, Ohio; three brothers, James Lee, of Corbin, Willis Lee (Janice), of Siler, and Earnest Lee (Wilma), of the Wolf creek Community, Williamsburg; two brothers-in-law, Elmer Lawson (Doris) and Ilas Lawson (Delores), all of Williamsburg; two sisters-in-law, Rovena Paul, of Siler, and Emma Lee Lawson (J.L.), of Fairfield, Ohio; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Croley Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roy Sutton, the Rev. Arnold Petrey and the Rev. Ronnie Rose officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Arnold Lawson Cemetery in Siler.
