Gregory Hughes


Graveside services for Gregory Gene Hughes, 55, Bagdad, will be held 2:30 p.m. Monday at Pine Hill Cemetery, Corbin. Bro. Jeff Hughes will officiate.

A native of Bedford in Trimble County, he is the assistant director for the Office of Procurement Services, Finance and Administrative Cabinet, Kentucky State Government. He was a member of Bedford Christian Church, National Rifle Association, Kentucky Public Procurement Association, and Hotel Foxtrot Fishing Tournament Club.

Gregory is survived by his parents Bill and Ruth McDonald Hughes, of Bedford; daughter and son-in-law, Bryan and Bethanie Hughes Gitlewski, of Burkesville; brother Joe Hughes, of Bagdad; sister, Vicki (Cecil) Whitaker, of Pendleton; and two grandsons, Caden Briney and Tatum Gitlewski.

Pallbearers will be Joe Hughes, Doug McGaughey, John McGaughey, Lee Henderson, Cecil Whitaker, Joe Whitaker and Jason Whitaker.

Visitation will be held Sunday 2-5 p.m. at LeCompte Johnson Taylor Funeral Home. Guestbook at
