Gary Moses

CORBIN —

Gary Moses, of Stringtown Road, Williamsburg, departed this life on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at his home. He was 67 years, 1 month and 6 days of age. He was born on Jan. 6, 1946, in Whitley County, to the late Alvie Moses and Gladys Moses. He was a retired employee of the Kentucky Department of Highways and a member of Pleasant View Church of God.

He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Lawson, of Williamsburg; two grandchildren, Roy David Lawson and William Lee Lawson; two sisters, Jan Smosny and her husband Bob, of Willowick, Ohio, and Robin Gambrel, of London; three nephews, Bob Smosny Jr. and Chris Smosny, both of Cleveland, Ohio, and Adam Gambrel, of New Orleans, La.; one niece, Leslie Gambrel, of Corbin; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Elmer Parks and the Rev. Mike Moses officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Oaklawn Cemetery at Pleasant View. Honorary pallbearers with be Matt Witt and the members of the Emlyn Fire Department.
