Eugene Wells

CORBIN —

Eugene Wells, 78, of Keavy, passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Baptist Health Corbin. He was a member of the Keavy Church of Christ.

Born Jan. 24, 1935, in Leslie County, he was the son of the late Noah Wells and Bessie Williams Wells.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Tinsley Wells, Ellis Wells, and Oley Wells.

He is survived by four sisters, Faye Baker, of Indian Lake Estates, Fla., Fern Day (Burgoyne), of Keavy, Jewell Baker (Paul), of Lancaster, and Bonnie Irvin (Kenneth), of Keavy; 23 nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends to mourn his passing.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Don Stidham and Bro. Paul Matney officiating. Burial will follow in Wells Cemetery at Keavy.

The family of Eugene Wells will receive friends on Thursday from 11:30 a.m. until the funeral hour at 2 p.m. at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.
