Donald Neff, age 86, of Corbin, went to be with Jesus on Saturday Feb. 9, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley and America Ferguson Neff; brother, Carson Neff; sisters, Mary Neff Green, Odie Neff Green, Ida Neff Cornett, Vennie Neff Daniel, Mollie Neff Pullen and Ollie Neff Russell; and by his special mother-in-law, Elizabeth Pridemore.
Donald was retired from International Harvesters in Louisville, was a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church, and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
He is survived by his wife of almost 62 years, Mary Edna Taylor Neff, who he married on March 7, 1951; brothers, Chester Neff, of Bean Station, Tenn., and Earnest Neff, of Cawood; sisters, Maxie Martin, of Ponce DeLeon, Fla., and Dollie Dugger, of Butler, Tenn.; a host of nieces and nephews; and by two special brothers-in-law, Lewis Taylor, of Gainesville, Fla., and Jerry Pridemore, of Corbin.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2013, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating.
Burial will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion Post No. 88 of Corbin.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 13, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
