William Adkins


William Gary “Bill” Adkins, of Delta, Ohio, formerly of Corbin, departed his life on Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at the Fulton County Health Center in Delta, Ohio. He was 78 years of age.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Fannie Adkins and his son, William Gary Adkins Jr. He was a former teacher and assistant football coach at Corbin High School.

He is survived by his wife, Kay Adkins; his daughter, Holly Shindorf (Mike) and their three children of Delta, Ohio; his brother, Tom and wife Barbara (Vermillion) Adkins; sister, Peggy and husband Robert McNabb, all of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; his Corbin relatives, Harold Adkins, Pat Adkins Mahan, Alice (Davis) Wilder, Harold Kenneth Davis and their children; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon until the memorial service on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at the Barnes Funeral Home Chapel in Delta, Ohio.

A memorial service will be at noon Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at the Barnes Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Underwood officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Delta, Ohio.
