Ozelle Beams, age 96, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at Parkway Hospital in Decatur, Ala.
She was the daughter of the late Fred and Ocie Glass Runager. She is also preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Joe Beams Sr.; sisters, Ola Mae Runager, Olena Watkins and Billie Philpot; brother, B.F. Runager; and nephew, Jimmy Watkins.
She is survived by her son, Joe Beams Jr. and wife Donna, of Decatur; daughter, Polly Anne Partridge, of Jacksonville, Fla.; sister, Shirley Clark, of Corbin; brother, Dr. Gerald “Geb” Runager and wife Nancy, of Orangeburg, S.C.; grandchildren, Jody Beams and wife Susan, of Madison, and Kristi Anderson and husband Scott, of Decatur; great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Fisher Beams, and Lucy and Lily Anderson; and very special friend from Cedar Springs, W.B. Harvey.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15, until the time of the funeral at 2 p.m. at the Roselawn Funeral Home in Decatur, Alabama. Burial will be in the Roselawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to either the American Heart Association or the Somerville Road Church of Christ.
