CORBIN — Bennie A. Prewitt, of Wolf Creek Road, Williamsburg, departed this life on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at the Hospice of Cincinnati East in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was 68 years, 9 months, and 1 day of age. She was born on Oct. 10, 1944, in Whitley County, to the late Floyd Davenport and Irene Carroll Davenport.

She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Billy Von Davenport and Ray Don Davenport; and a sister, Anna Margaret Brown. She was a member of Wolf Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Prewitt, of Williamsburg; two daughters, Melissa Lawson (Bryan) and Francie Roberson, all of Williamsburg; five grandchildren, Jerad Roberson (Danielle), Austin Roberson, Gabe Griffin, Haylee Roberson and Nate Griffin; one brother, Carl Davenport, of Cincinnati, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Croley Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 14, 2013 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Brown and the Rev. Lester Cox officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Oaklawn Cemetery at Pleasant View.
