Nicholas Mills

CORBIN —

Regardless of the circumstances, the death of a young man is always hard to comprehend. Their lives are just beginning, their dreams unfulfilled and their challenges unmet. Nicholas “Nick” Chance Mills, 19, of Lexington, formerly of Corbin, passed away on March 24, 2013, unexpectedly due to complications after a motor vehicle crash.

Nick was born in Pineville on May 18, 1993, and is the son of Randy Mills, of Barbourville, and Bruce and Judy Hood, of Lexington. He was a 2012 graduate of Corbin High School and continued on to pursue his dream to become a certified mechanic.

Nick was an avid lover of outdoors and greatly enjoyed riding ATV’s, fishing and working on cars. Nick was a bold young man who truly loved life and was rarely ever caught without a smile beaming across his face. Full of life and compassion, he was a true giver and willing to help others in need. As a man of God, he spearheaded adversity and lived his life following Jesus Christ. We will not mourn his death, but celebrate his life and cherish the memories he gave us. We love you Nick and you will live forever in our hearts…

Nick is survived by his wife, Megan Boggs Mills; his parents, Randy Mills, and Judy and Bruce Hood; his sister, Taijha Kleinmann and her husband Andrew; grandparents, Roy and JoAnn Gray, of Flat Lick, and Eva Sprinkles, of Barbourville; his mother-, father- and sister-in-law, Marian and M. Todd Boggs and their daughter Morgan; and many other close family and friends who mourn.

Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. on March 26, 2013, at Hart Funeral Home in Corbin.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday March 27, 2013, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel in Corbin. Alex Kinchen and Joshua Mauney of Turning Point Church, Lexington will be officiating. Burial will follow the funeral at Resthaven Cemetery.
