Carrie Huddleston

CORBIN — Carrie Marie Huddleston, of Mountain Lane, Rockholds, departed this life on Tuesday, Oct. 15, at her home. She was 90 years, 11 months, and 25 days of age. She was born on Oct. 22, 1922, in Whitley County, to the late John West and Rhoda Durham West.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two children, Gorman Huddleston and Ruth Huddleston; six brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Jess Huddleston, of Rockholds; one daughter, Faye Saylor, of Ocean Springs, Miss.; three sons, Don Huddleston, of Rockholds, Roy Huddleston, of Corbin, and Edward Huddleston (Debra), of Maryland; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Lois Eades, of West Chester, Ohio; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013, at Croley Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lowell Huddleston officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Briar Creek Cemetery in Williamsburg.
