Norma Marcum


Norma Lou Marcum, age 72, of Corbin, departed this life on Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Baptist Health hospital in Corbin. She was born on June 3, 1940, in Estill County, Kentucky to the late Elmer Alcorn and Ruby King Alcorn. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lester Elwood Marcum.  She was a member of Central Baptist Church of Corbin.

She is survived by her two sons, Allen Marcum and his wife Tania and Gregory Todd Marcum, all of Corbin; five grandchildren, Adriene Marcum, of Corbin, Zachary Marcum of Owensboro, Wesley Marcum of Owensboro, Samuel Marcum of Corbin, and Landon Marcum of Owensboro; and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at the Central Baptist Church in Corbin.

The funeral service will be at 2  p.m.  Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at the Central Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Green and Rev. Chad Fugitt officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to the Central Baptist Church of Corbin Music Ministry.
